How to Replace a Saab 93 Key Fob
All cars should have a remote/transmitter to lock or unlock your car. Batteries in these devices can be damaged.
If you're considering buying a Saab 93 and don't have two keys, you can add one for around $400. This is done by purchasing a new TWICE module at the dealer and installing it using a special hand-held computer called a Tech2.
Keys Replacement
A lot of used Saabs have one key. It is recommended, as soon as possible, to purchase a spare key. This will be less expensive than replacing the entire vehicle should you lose it. It is also important to rotate your keys regularly to avoid all the wear and tear and to keep them clean.
If you lose your key you'll need a new key along with an additional program to convince your car that you aren't trying to steal it. These modules can cost upwards of $400 to replace and are only available via mail purchase. saab ignition key or dealers are not able to do the task within the same day.
The good news is that the majority of modern Saab cars can have an additional key added to the system without having to replace the original computer in the vehicle. If you have a spare key, the process is much less costly. The new key has to be identical to the original Module. A second-hand one will not work. However, a genuine OEM replacement can be purchased from a dealer for less than what it will cost.
It is easy to remove the case from a brand new SAAB Key Fob. Use a flathead to pry open the case, but be careful to avoid damaging the electronics inside. After you have removed the batteries and electronics and replacing the case with the shell from the old key fob. Place the two pieces in a line and gently press them together to allow them to click in the correct position. Once the new fob has been installed and synchronized, you can use it again. It is important to note that adding a new key is more difficult than simply replacing the emergency key and requires the dealer's assistance using a tool known as the Tech-2.
Keys to the ignition replacement
First, check that the transmission is in Park. This will stop your car from turning if the lock on your transmission fails, or if your manual transmission pops into gear.

One key to the Turbo X's popularity is its superb handling. Despite its nose-heavy 60/40 front-to-rear weight distribution the Turbo X feels agile and balanced on two-lane highways.
Fuel economy is the only downside to this car's astonishing performance. The turbocharged 2.0-liter motor can achieve approximately 27 mpg in city and 35 on the highway. A special version Turbo X version with more power is available in 2008, but only for. The model comes with a unique rear seat that folds flat to the floor, adding to the cargo capacity.
